Whether it be full time or part time it is very demanding having another human being to look after and we all need some assistance or respite. In fact the old saying, ÿou can’t look after another if you don’t look after yourself first” is very true. The stress of finding a caregiver that is a perfect fit for your loved one whether it be your nana, grandfather, mother, father, husband or wife can be exhausting. At NurseMaster we understand the stress that families and loved ones go through. Many people are juggling a range of commitments on top of their care role such as working, looking after children or grandchildren and sometimes their own health issues.
Respite care is often unavailable or you have to book it months in advance and when you need a break you need a break or if you need assistance when you need it you want it now not miles away. Having help coming into the home is going to become more and more popular. There are around 800,000 over 65 year olds in New Zealand and about 49,000 of those are in some type of facility. The fact is that there aren’t enough beds or carers and nurses available to give good quality care. That is where using a trusted group of nurses and carers gives you more control of ensuring that your loved one is shown dignity and respect to live a full and wonderful life in their elder years.
Having an experienced, trained, professional carer or nurse who is personally interviewed by us, qualifications verified, they are vetted including MOJ (Ministry of Justice) checks and Police Clearance before they even go on our books. It is hard to believe that many places don’t even require experience or qualifications! NurseMaster want to uphold a fabulous reputation in the community and do as much as we can to provide the best people to come into your home to keep your loved one safe, secure and have a positive experience.
We are very unique as we don’t have a minimum time you can book someone in just for an hour. We are also at hand so if you need someone to be there, with short notice. Call on us; no job is too small. So even if you need a carer or a nurse to just pop in to see if mum or dad, grandpa or nana are ok, put the cat out or give medication or food and that is just an hour; we will be there. Many companies have a minimum of 4 hours; we don’t as we want to be there when you need us. No job too big or too small.
NurseMaster is run by a group of caring Health Professionals who are nurses and clinical managers themselves and our Client Care Manager Lou has been through looking after parents herself so knows the ins and outs of what it entails and offers empathy and understanding.
